Armen Elliott is an artist who, with a camera's lens, explores the unique individuality of her subjects with compassion and insight. A high-energy optimist with a critical, trained eye, Armen moves past the facade to find the spirit of the individual.
"Good portrait photography is a collaboration between subject and photographer," says Elliott. " My photographs are about people and their relationship with others as expressed through gesture." A typical session is relaxed, spontaneous and frequently mischievous. "The process influences the end product," maintains Elliott. After a session, a client will often confess, "I didn't think it would be this much fun." Her love of collaborating with others is evident in her work.
